Why WhatsApp beats the recovery email
Recovery emails land in a promotions tab and are read hours later, if at all. A WhatsApp message is read in minutes, and the checkout link is one tap away on the same device they were already shopping on.
Not immediately, and not tomorrow
Send too soon and it reads as surveillance. Send too late and they have bought elsewhere. You set the delay — most stores land between thirty and sixty minutes — and only carts that have not converted get a message.
- Delay you control
- Converted carts are excluded automatically
- One nudge, not a sequence that annoys people
- Per-day message caps protect your number
Their items, and a way back
The message lists what they left, the total, and a link that returns them to their checkout. On Pro you can attach a one-time discount code generated in your store, for the carts worth discounting.
- Item list and total
- Direct link back to their checkout
- Optional one-time discount code (Pro)
- Replies come into your inbox for a human to close
What works on which platform
Shopify fires webhooks when a checkout is created and updated, so genuine pre-purchase cart recovery works properly there. WooCommerce has no native cart webhook — what we recover on Woo is pending and failed-payment orders, which is still the highest-intent segment, but it is not the same thing and we will not pretend otherwise.
- Shopify — true abandoned-checkout recovery
- WooCommerce — pending and failed-payment order recovery
- Custom stores — whatever cart events you can send us
Recovered revenue, not open rates
Recovered carts are tracked with their value, so you can see what the feature returned rather than guessing from engagement metrics.
- Carts nudged and carts recovered
- Recovered value per period
- Visible alongside your other reports
Abandoned-cart recovery is part of the Pro plan and needs a connected store.
